I have read and read even more on the PHP, I haven’t really slept yet. Did I tell you guys I have slight and I mean slight OCD issues.
When I start something I’m obsessive until I finish.
I have seen mention of Ruby on Rails which is supposed to be a more intuitive alternative to PHP and ASP.NET. In the quest of giving you what I think you need I have partitioned my test system hard drive into 3 and am installing RoR on it. Both of the Apaches I had on from last night. RoR has been included today.
Here is a link in case you dont know about RoR.
There is a book called RailsSpace that even defines the process of creating a Social Network using RoR.
Woohoo.
Convenient isn’t it?
As I start the learning process my journal may get more technical, I may need to ask the hoarding masses for some assistance.
I will of course still drop the periodic article of interest like this.
Greg Smith hits us with some insightful points on starting a social network. He created one using Drupal for cyclist. Thats his blog.
Til next time…. Oh yea that’d be tomorrow. Same bat time same bat channel.
My thought for the week.
If there are more fish in the sea why do I feel like I’m the only one swimming in it?

I liked that article by greg it was pretty good. Just wanted to know if you are getting these articles from other blogs or by search engines. I like the things you find

Well, I tend to find most of them through my google search queries which might turn me onto a blog or site I’ve never seen before. Then I search around that site or blog to see what it has that I may feel you guys might like then link it for you.

Thanks for the shout out. I am not the Greg Smith on Amazon.com though. I haven’t written any books… yet! velospace is my main project at the moment and I did develop the social network using Drupal.

Your welcome. Your paper on what went into your social network is very helpful. I must thank you for writing it. Also, I’m curious how did you come upon my shoutout? I don’t really understand how the pingbacks and whatever these terms are work. Was it something like that or did someone tell you? Also, on the link to the book, I believe Amazon is doing it when the scan the page for ad content. You are either lucky or unlucky depending on your POV that you share the name with the author of that book. Sorry about that, if I knew how to remove it from your name I would do so.
